This print features Edinburgh Castle and the Grassmarket, in my hand drawn style. Edinburgh Castle was built during the 12th century by David I, son of Saint Margaret of Scotland. The Grassmarket originated back in 1477, when it was used as market place to sell horses and cattle. Later, in 1660, the Grassmarket became the official site for public executions - pretty gruesome! This fascinating place is known as the ‘Old Town’ of Edinburgh and is one of Scotland’s biggest tourist attractions.
This print would make a perfect gift for residents, visitors to Edinburgh, or those who appreciate architecture. This print is also available as a tea towel, greeting card and coaster. I can adapt this print into various other items, so please contact me if you are interested in a special commission.
The A5 poster print is pressed onto high quality linen paper and comes in a cellophane wrap. This is manufactured in Scotland.
